Charlene Mary Reid, age 87 of Marshall, Arkansas died on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Ozark Health in Clinton, Arkansas. She was born in Marshall, Arkansas on March 11, 1937 to Bert Smith and Cora Knee Smith. She was married to Billy Joe Reid for 43 years before his death in 2015.

She was a devout Pentecostal who was always ready to share her faith with others. She held several jobs in the community, including Flintrock Shirt Factory, Director of Area Agency, Fashion Store Owner and Ministers wife.

Survivors include her brother, Columbus Smith of Floral; children, Lisa Parks (Tim) of Marshall and Steve Vickers (Jeanna) of Dover; nephew, Jamie Conrad (Sherri); nieces, Renee Walsh (Lee) and Jennifer Reid; grandchildren, Dempsey Vickers, Gary Vickers and Alison Taylor; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Cody, Mitchell, Bailey, Danielle, Parker and Wyatt; greatgreat granddaughter, Joplyn; and a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Cora Smith; her husband, Billy Joe Reid; and brother, Bert Smith Jr.

Funeral services for her were at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Duane Ragland officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2024 in the Chapel. The burial was in Marshall Memorial Gardens where she was laid to rest beside Billy Joe. Pallbearers were Dempsey Vickers, Gary Vickers, Jamie Conrad, Lee Walsh, Derek Horton and Justin Elliott.
