Charles Baker Jr. of Marshall
Charles Roger Baker Jr., age 42 of Marshall, Arkansas died on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Lake Dardanelle in Dardanelle, Arkansas. He was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on December 5, 1980 to Charles Roger Baker Sr. and Delia Llwyd Baker.
He was a Christian and loved the Lord with all of his heart. He considered his church family true “family” and loved them very much. He was a welder by trade. He also was an excellent leather smith, and his work can be seen in many homes in the county.
He was a great chef and loved to cook for his church family. He was very proud of his Cajun heritage and liked cooking crawfish. He enjoyed fishing of any kind, whether craw fishing, jugging or just being on the water. To some he was considered a rebel with a wild side but to those closest to him he was “real” with no pretenses or put-on’s. What you saw was what you got. When he loved he loved BIG. His kids and grandkids were his greatest joy and time spent with them was his greatest treasure.
Survivors include his children, Dallas Baker of Marshall, Amanda Baker of Marshall, Kayla Oliver (Johnny) of Marshall and Angelina Baker of Bradford; grandkids, Serenity Baker, Kenslee Oliver and Ripp Owens; girlfriend, Amanda Orange; sisters, Ann Brown of Greenbrier, Charmane Baker of Beebe and Renita Hammack of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; close friends, Riley Cooper, Jesse Hinchey and family, Cody Hinchey and family, Charlie and Shirley Barnett; and many other friends, extended family and church family who will also mourn his passing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Delia Baker; and step-mom, Wilma Baker.
Funeral services for him were 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023 at the Solid Rock Apostolic Church in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Jesse Hinchey officiating.
