Chester Lee Allen “Toby” Donley, age 77 of Leslie, Arkansas died on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Baptist Health in Conway, Arkansas. He was born in Dermott, Arkansas on February 25, 1947 to Chester Donley and Dorothy Mary Clark Donley. He lived in McGehee until he moved to Little Rock in 1972.

He was an insurance salesman for 30 years. After retirement he moved on to real estate and worked for 15 years until his health began to fail. He loved being on his farm and tending to the cows for 29 years. For health reasons, he could no longer tend to the cattle but loved watching out the window while Becky cared for the farm.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed playing receptionist at his wife’s tax office. Her clients will greatly miss seeing him sitting at the front desk greeting them.

He was very proud of his daughter Cynthia, grandkids, Jen and Hunter, niece, Christy and nephew, Rick.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Rebecca Stalter “Becky” Donley; daughter, Cynthia Donley; granddaughter, Jennifer Howard (Cody); grandson, Hunter Cole; sister-in-law, Carol Duncan; nephew, Ricky Sharon Cossey; niece, Christy Ward (Chris); sister, Kim Coburn; and many extended family and friends who will also mourn his passing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Dorothy Donley; grandparents; sister, Nobia Terrese; and brother, Perry Wayne.

Graveside services for him were 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Quitman City Cemetery in Quitman, Arkansas with Bro. Cairl Baysinger officiating. Visitation was 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas. Burial followed the graveside service.
