James Harold Phillips, age 78 of Marshall, Arkansas died on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas. He was born in Marshall, Arkansas on August 18, 1945 to Charlie Hubert Phillips and Wauneace Gertha McCutcheon Phillips.

He worked in telephone communications for most of his life. In later years he worked as an over-theroad truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling around the country.

Survivors include his children, Don Phillips (Becky) of McClellanville, SC, Harold Phillips (Kathie) of Taylorsville, NC, Danita Greenway (Brian) of Hickory, NC, Alan Phillips (Sandy) of Stony Point, NC and Celeste Phillips of Catawba, NC; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; siblings, Jake Phillips, Herbert Phillips, Charlotte Ragland, Sue Snow, Sheila Threet and Anna Little; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Wauneace Phillips; wife, Suzanne; daughter, Pamela Lemmon; and siblings, Charlene McEntire and Wanda Goett.

Graveside memorial services for him were 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Western Grove Cemetery in Western Grove, Arkansas.
