Larry Fariss of Marshall

Larry James Fariss, age 73 of Marshall, Arkansas died on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas. He was born in Marshall, Arkansas on December 14, 1948 to Harvey Wessie Fariss and Mildred Lorene Jackson Fariss.
He graduated from Marshall High School in 1967. He attended college in Kansas City, Missouri later in his life. He worked construction and was a dry wall worker for most of his life. He was a musician and loved playing guitar. In his spare time, he enjoyed working puzzles and was a quilter for many years.
He was devoted to his family. His children, grandchildren and siblings meant the world to him.
Survivors include his children, Matthew Ireland (Cindy) of Conway, Joshua Ireland of Columbia, MO and Kathryn Stickney (Chad) of Tomah, WI; grandchildren, Rachel Ireland, Chloe Ireland, Josh Landis, Morgan Landis, Graciela Ireland, Elena Ireland, Elise Stickney and Nathanial Stickney; greatgrandchildren, Elijah Stark, Harper Little, McCoy Little and Landrey Little; siblings, Kenneth Fariss (Loretta) of Marshall, Carolyn Gatlin (Johnie) of Valley Springs, Randy Arthur (David) of Marshall, Janet Blair (Ricky) of Vilonia and Tammy Rhein (Larry) of Stuttgart; and his companion for the last ten years, Henry the cat.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wessie and Mildred Fariss; and one infant brother.
Funeral services for him were 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Donnie Horton and Bro. Robbie Alexander officiating. Visitation preceded the service from 1:00 until 2:00. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery near Marshall, Arkansas.
