Linda Carolyn Halsted, age 72 of Marshall, Arkansas died Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas. She was born in Mark Tree, Arkansas on August 13, 1949 to Raymond Bankston and Ella Mae Elkins Bankston.

She worked for 25 plus years with Area Agency on Aging. After retirement she enjoyed watching Gunsmoke, Cops and other favorite shows on TV.

She liked to dance and was an excellent jig dancer. She enjoyed flower gardening and watching her hummingbirds.

She loved being outdoors and spending time at the creek with her grandchildren. Her grandkids held her heart and time spent with them brought her much joy. Her strong presence will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Ragland (Bradley) of Marshall, Marla Reece (Michael) of Big Flat, Michelle Orange (Hank) of Marshall, Carrie Marshall (Jovey) of Greenland and Amie Brown (Jerry Dale) of Marshall; grandchildren, Taylor Horn, Caleb Horn, Paden Horn, Isaac Ragland, Jesse Ragland, Summer Reece, Joshua Ragland, Landon Brown, Jordan Brown and Addison Brown; greatgrandchildren, Jhette King and Jinner King; siblings, Dale Bankston (Darlene) of Claremore, OK and Judy Bohannon of Skiatook, OK; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family who will also mourn her passing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Bankston and Ella Mae Russell; Alpha Halsted; greatgrandchild, Jase King; and siblings, Barbara Vanmeter and Gary Bankston.

Graveside services for her was 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2022 at Oak Hill Cemetery near Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Bradley Ragland officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Taylor Horn, Caleb Horn, Paden Horn, Isaac Ragland, Jesse Ragland, Summer Reece, Joshua Ragland, Landon Brown, Jordan Brown and Addison Brown.
