MOLLIE BALENTINE

Mollie Balentine, 93, of Harrison passed away January 20, 2025. Ms. Balentine was born October 8, 1931, to Ray and Esther Richardson of Big Flat, Ark. She married her husband, Bill, in 1948, and they raised three sons together while residing in Marshall and later moving to Harrison in 1960.
Ms. Balentine pursued a life of service in many different ways, to family, friends, and often to those she only knew briefly. After serving many years at Boone County Hospital, she retired only to begin serving those in need of home care and companionship in their elder years. She loved her entire family with a fierce and unconditional love that she had come to know from her Savior, Jesus Christ, and her home was always a warm and welcoming place for all who entered.
Ms. Balentine is survived by her son John (Drew) Balentine and wife Kim of Joplin, Mo., four grandchildren: Ashley, Kristen, Whitney and Aaron, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Bill Balentine, two sons: William R. (Rick) Balentine and Joseph N. (Joe) Balentine and one grandchild Terry Miller.
She will be well remembered for her spirit of compassionate caring and hospitality by all who knew her.
