Verlie Tressie Harmon, age 99 of Hector, Arkansas died on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville, Arkansas. She was born in Tilly, Arkansas on May 30, 1922 to Oscar Casto and Jeanett “Nettie” Godfrey Casto. She loved to attend church. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. She also enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include her children, Clifford Harmon and wife Pauline of Tilly, Plum Blair and husband Rex of Witts Springs, Bob Harmon and wife Ruth of Tilly and Bill Harmon and wife Lula of Dover; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Alta Muncy of Gum Log; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will mourn her passing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Nettie Casto; husband, Charles Connie Harmon; grandchildren, Michael Harmon and Charles Harmon; siblings, Hershell Casto, Mary McMillian, Dolly Warren, Felix Casto, Verna Ozment, Tom Casto and Atha McNutt.

Graveside services for her was 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Union Hill Cemetery in Tilly, Arkansas with Bro. Jim Arnold officiating. She was laid to rest beside her husband, Charles Connie Harmon who passed away in 2008. The family would like to give a special thanks to Arkansas Hospice and the River Valley Home for their excellent care of her.
